Our Story

Luigi's Cleckheaton is part of the D'Abundo restaurant group which was started by Luigi D'Abundo almost 35 years ago in Liversedge. Having originally learned to cook from his parents, Luigi enlisted into the Italian military as a cook in order to complete his national service. Upon completing his national service Luigi decided to move to England at just age 20. 7 years later Luigi decided to take the plunge and he opened his first restaurant in a converted launderette with just 5 tables at the top of Hightown road. Safe to say, the rest is history.
